Oasis Community Learning

About Oasis UK

In 1985 Steve Chalke set up the Oasis Charitable Trust, now known as Oasis UK, in order to open a hostel for homeless young people. Oasis now has over 400 staff, students and volunteers, pioneering educational, healthcare and housing initiatives in the UK and across the globe.

Oasis is motivated by Christian faith, as it works to transform individuals and communities by promoting inclusion and confronting injustice in the UK and overseas with the aim of bringing transformation – socially, spiritually, emotionally, educationally, physically and environmentally – helping people to live life to its fullest.

Since 1985 Oasis has grown into an international family made of 10 country bases, with people serving across 5 continents.
