Our Performance

Education in Oasis Academies

Our Mission is to create and sustain a network of excellent
learning communities
where everyone can realise their full potential.

Oasis Academies are committed to providing an excellent standard of education to help students to achieve their best both educationally and vocationally.  We provide a nurturing learning environment to support students of all abilities, so that they are able to excel in their studies.  We also encourage our young people to develop life-skills so that they can become mature, confident adults and life-long learners.

Raising Standards

Oasis Academies are committed to improving academic results and raising educational standards.  Since 2007, when our first Academies opened, we have seen significant achievements.  Here is just a snapshot of the changes we have seen:

Enfield
Not only has behaviour improved a great deal, with fixed-term exclusions reducing from 40 to 10 in the space of a year, but the successful implementation of reading recovery schemes resulted in significant increases in reading ages of students previously below their chronological age.

The Academy also won the 2008 SSAT National Conference Award for the “RM School of Talent for the school demonstrating a strategic and innovative approach to unlocking the talent of its students”.

Wintringham
In their first year, the Academy surpassed all previous GCSE results of the predecessor school, with 55% of students achieving 5 A* - C grades.  The results were 20% higher than in the previous year.

Mayfield
Attendance has improved more than 10% since December 2008

Immingham
Attendance after year one was the best in the school’s recent history at 94% and there were no permanent exclusions, compared to the double figures of the predecessor school.

Love for Learning

Young people learn best when they enjoy school life.  Oasis Academies make it a priority to listen to students and take their ideas and opinions into account.

"It definitely feels like we’ve got a voice as students…  If students have a voice; if they can change things, then they’ll be happier and so they’ll learn better; and if the students are learning better, the teachers can teach better, and everyone’s happy."

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
