Oasis Community Learning is very pleased to announce that it has secured the services of an outstanding interim Principal for the next year, following Brian Dixon’s recent resignation. Mr Tony Rawdin who is currently Executive Principal of Norton College (an 11-18 school) will become Executive Principal of Oasis Academy Immingham from Monday 22nd June.
Tony Rawdin is a National Leader of Education - one of only a few designated Head Teachers in England who are appointed by the National College for School Leadership. Norton College has been designated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Tony will be joined by a new Associate Principal – Mr Christopher Mitchell, who works with Tony as his Deputy and who, once again, has exceptional experience and a track record of improving schools.
Oasis Community Learning intend to advertise for a permanent Principal in the New Year to take up their post in September 2010.
In the meantime, both new leaders will join in with the rest of the Academy family to celebrate the Academy’s Grand Opening on the 10th July which will also conclude a remarkable year for the Academy and the local community. The day will begin with tours around the Academy from 11am, with lunch and main ceremony to follow, during which there will be a special student orchestral performance using junk and scrap.
