Oasis Academy MediaCityUK

We are about to hear whether the proposal to shut Hope High School and re-open as Oasis Academy MediaCityUK has been confirmed. Oasis Community Learning will be working closely with staff, students and parents over the next few months to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.

Oasis Academy MediaCityUK will open in the existing building of Hope High School, Prestwood Road, Salford and in September 2010 staff and students will move to a brand new state-of-the-art building located on Salford Quays.

The Academy will cater for 1,150 students aged 11-19 – 900 students 11-16; and 250 students 16-19.

The Academy will specialise in Media and ICT, with an enterprising focus.
