Salary: Leadership 22-26
Oasis Academy Oldham will open in September 2010, replacing Kaskenmoor School and South Chadderton School. The Academy will operate initially from the sites of the two predecessor schools before moving to a brand new building in 2012.
This initiative is part of an exciting borough-wide project of investment in Oldham’s schools, which will result in the rebuilding or refurbishment of all secondary schools and the creation of three new academies.
The Challenge
You will be enthused by the challenge of merging two schools and two communities, and utilise your relentless focus on raising standards to drive forward a marked improvement in student aspirations and achievement. You will increase intake by reaching out to communities beyond the catchment of the predecessor schools, whilst preparing for a move to a new location, as well as leading the development of learning and teaching, to create a ‘learning culture’ across the Academy from the outset.
Your Vision
We are seeking a creative, driven Deputy Principal to lead the development of an innovative curriculum that inspires, motivates and engages our students, and that enables them to succeed. We offer you the scope to realise your vision and obtain results, building on the recent successes of the predecessor schools to achieve a rapid and marked improvement in student outcomes.
Closing date for applications is: 9am Wednesday 17th March 2010
Interviews will be held: Thursday 1st April 2010

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
