Equity, Difference and Belonging through Inclusion for All

At Oasis, we are committed to the equity and flourishing of all our people. This commitment is rooted in the foundational beliefs of our organisation and expressed through our ethos values: a passion to include and a desire to treat people equally while respecting differences.

These values are not abstract ideals; they shape the decisions we make and the way we live and work together. Guided by our ethos and the Oasis 9 Habits, we are continually developing our practices to become as inclusive as we can possibly be.

We work towards equity through:

• Listening and Learning – valuing staff voice through surveys and feedback

• Inclusive Governance – steering groups that monitor and challenge our practice

• Belonging Networks – including forums for gender equality, LGBTQ+, disabled, and ethnically diverse colleagues and community members

• Learning and Development – including training on unconscious bias, disability, inclusion, menopause, and anti-racism

• Policy and Practice – ensuring our governance, infrastructure, and working conditions reflect our commitment to fairness

• People Strategy – setting out how we value and invest in our staff

We recognise that true equity is only possible when everyone feels included, valued, and safe enough to bring their whole selves—to voice their experiences, express their differences, and participate fully in our shared life together.

Inclusion at Oasis is not an add-on—it is woven into our culture, our systems, and our future. From staff networks to Inclusion Champions, and from the voices of students to those of our communities, we are building a Trust-wide approach that ensures everyone feels inspired, enabled, and empowered to thrive.

We know inclusion is a journey. We are proud of the recognition our academies have received so far—and even more committed to exploring ways we can grow stronger together.
