The Oasis Apprenticeship Scheme aims to provide all Oasis apprentices with the appropriate opportunities to develop the skills that will enable them to gain permanent employment.
For some young people university is not the most appropriate option and yet many do not feel equipped with the knowledge or skills to be able to move into the workplace. Apprenticeships are vital in supporting young people to make the transition into the world of work. Not only do apprentices gain a qualification but workplace learning facilitates a growth in confidence, knowledge and skills.
The Oasis Apprenticeship scheme seeks to provide desirable opportunities for young people, including Oasis students, to help them grow personally and professionally and to fulfil their potential within the Oasis family.
In the past year Ofsted Inspectors praised the progress of the Oasis Apprenticeship Scheme and the work within Oasis Hubs to encourage students to consider all the options when leaving school.
As well as benefitting from personal and professional development through the work and training they undertake, Oasis apprentices have the opportunity to attend an annual Oasis Apprenticeship Residential, with all apprentices on the scheme.
Apprenticeship opportunities are available nationwide across our 48 Academies and National Office. We work with a number of different providers to deliver apprenticeships in a range of disciplines including
- Business & Administration
- Finance, Catering
- Facilities Management
- Teaching Assisting
- Information Communication Technology
