Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Future leaders - introducing the NPQH 2019 Oasis Cohort

Oasis Community Learning (OCL) are excited to be working in partnership with Ambition Institute as part of the NPQ Alliance to deliver the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) programme to leaders across the Oasis family of academies.

Ambition Institute is a graduate school for teachers, school leaders and system leaders, serving children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Their programmes support educators at every stage – from new teachers through to leaders of groups of schools – to keep getting better.

This year, fourteen Oasis Academy leaders from all over the country will be completing the NPQH programme. Our CEO, John Murphy was delighted to welcome them all to our National Office for their first two day session towards gaining their formal qualification.

The Headship Programme supports aspiring heads to gain a headship in 12-18 months and those new to Headship seeking further development, to become great leaders of schools.

The course is designed to challenge participants, develop leadership skills and inspire the strategic excellence necessary to be a high-performing Principal. There will be a strong focus on commitment, collaboration, personal drive, resilience, awareness, integrity and respect.
