Oasis Academy Wintringham ‘education hero’ is recognised at the Golden Apple Awards 2019

Bright and bubbly – Caroline Fenwick from Oasis Academy Wintringham was honoured to receive the Administration / Business Support Staff of the Year Award 2019 at the Golden Apple Awards.

The special celebratory event was held at the Double Tree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf resort near Broughton to recognise achievement in education.

Caroline brings a smile to everyone's face. She deals with the admin required for trips and visits to the academy and last year ensured over 60 trips took place. Nothing is too much trouble and she is a real team player. Caroline has been instrumental in the smooth transmission of a new management information system and goes above her contractual hours for pupils.

Caroline Fenwick, the Award Winner from Oasis Academy Wintringham, said; “I'm very honoured to win this award. Everyone at the academy works so hard, and it's a privilege to be there alongside them. It's an amazing bunch of people. Everyone is so dedicated and caring, so it's not hard to love my job."

The award ceremony is organised by the Grimsby Telegraph and Scunthorpe Telegraph and are in their fourth year.

Education heroes from across northern Lincolnshire were rewarded as the Golden Apple Awards celebrated top teachers, support staff, and students.

Students who have excelled in their studies and the staff members who have provided the best education possible were celebrated at the ceremony, which was hosted by Amanda White from BBC Radio Humberside.

Many worthy nominees were put forward by readers across 11 categories, with the winner of a final category, the Lifetime Contribution Award, decided by the Grimsby Telegraph & Scunthorpe Telegraph judging panel.
