On Friday last week, Oasis Academy Leesbrook came together to remember Ethan Allen, a beloved student who tragically lost his life last year. This weekend just passed, Ethan would have turned 16, and in his loving memory, the academy turned red, a tribute to two of his greatest passions – the Chicago Bulls and Manchester United.

Ethan was known for his infectious energy and incredible sense of humor. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone laugh and lift spirits with just a smile. To celebrate his vibrant personality, the academy chose to honour him on Comic Relief Day, a day where joy, laughter, and giving unite the entire community.

As part of the celebration, students and staff are donating funds, with all proceeds going to both Comic Relief and a charity selected by Ethan's family. Additionally, raffle tickets are being sold for a chance to win a Chicago Bulls jersey vest – one of Ethan’s favourite items.

Ethan’s family joined the academy last week for a very special moment – the unveiling of Ethan’s memorial plaque and the official opening of the Sports Hall, which will now be known as The Ethan Allen Sports Hall.

Though Ethan may no longer be with them, his spirit lives on in the memories his peers and teachers continue to cherish. Forever 15, forever remembered, forever cherished, his legacy will be kept alive at Oasis Academy Leesbrook.
