We were thrilled to see Oasis Academy Don Valley featured on ITV News last week, showcasing how the academy is helping reduce its carbon footprint through active travel and the Count Your Carbon tool.

The piece highlighted the real impact of the school run on national emissions and celebrated the practical steps Oasis Academy Don Valley is taking to support families and build healthier, greener habits. Watch the full feature HERE.

Oasis has also just been shortlisted for the MAT Excellence Environmental Trust of the Year Award. This recognition reflects the incredible work happening across our family of academies, from Eco‑Schools Green Flags to student‑led climate action and major progress on our Climate Action Plans.

Our National Environmental and Sustainability Manager, Jessica Marshall said: “I’m delighted we’ve been shortlisted for the second year running. None of this progress would be possible without the joined‑up effort of our Eco Champions, Property & Estates, Procurement and so many others. This recognition belongs to every staff member and student who has made climate action happen.”
