Oasis Academy Lord's Hill Preschool Celebrates "Good" Ofsted Rating Across All Areas

Oasis Lord's Hill Preschool is delighted to announce the successful outcome of their recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on Friday, 14^th February 2025. The inspection resulted in a "Good" rating across all four key areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management, under the new Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

The preschool report highlighted several strengths, particularly praising the curriculum and the meaningful learning opportunities offered to the children, such as weekly trips to Southampton City Farm. Furthermore, inspectors commended the preschool's effectiveness in supporting children’s learning and communication skills.

A key highlight from the report noted how "Children independently clean up after snack time, and dress themselves for outdoor play," demonstrating the successful promotion of children’s self-care, hygiene awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility for their wellbeing by the staff.

Inspectors further recognised the dedication of the staff in understanding and celebrating each child’s individuality. The report stated that staff effectively use their knowledge of each child to tailor learning experiences, ensuring that all children, especially vulnerable children, benefit from a wide range of enriching opportunities to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
