A primary school in Worcester has donated a considerable number of supplies to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Crisis.

Oasis Academy Warndon successfully collected a minibus full of supplies to send over to Ukraine. Ranging from pantry foods, baby supplies, blankets and toiletries.

The idea came when it was decided that they would coincide their Comic Relief fundraising with the Ukrainian Appeal. The school wanted to show their support and compassion for those who have lost so much. Pupils were especially involved with making signs to stick around the academy showing their thoughts and feelings.

The academy also reached out to several large businesses to see if they could offer their help. ADI Group Ltd who are a Birmingham based company donated a considerable amount which came in the form of sleeping bags (both adult and baby), towels, baby bottles and wipes.

Suzanne Owen Principal at Oasis Academy Warndon said “This is a true embodiment of the 9 habits we stand for. We are so proud to support such a caring community who come together at times of need. A massive thank you to all the staff, pupils, parents and businesses who have donated."

The minibus of donations was safely transported to The Sixways Stadium who will arrange for them to be sent to Ukraine.

Oasis Academy Warndon is part of the Oasis Charitable Trust family who have jointly so far raised over £35,000 since the war began between Russia and Ukraine. Are you able to donate? You can do so by visiting their JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/campaign/OasisUkraine.
