Oasis primary academies achieve strongest-ever Key Stage 2 results as SEND outcomes rise strongly

Oasis Community Learning's primary academies have achieved their strongest-ever Key Stage 2 outcomes, with the trust recording a second consecutive year of improvement and outperforming the current national average in combined Reading, Writing and Maths.  

At Key Stage 2, Oasis achieved 64% in combined Reading, Writing and Maths, placing the trust above the current national figure of 63%. The results build on last year's performance, when Oasis matched the national average, and represent the strongest Key Stage 2 outcomes in the trust's history.  

The results also reveal some of the strongest gains among pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). At Key Stage 2, the proportion of pupils with SEND achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined increased from 27% to 33%, with improvements also seen in Reading, Writing and Mathematics individually.  

Disadvantaged pupils also continued to perform strongly, achieving outcomes above equivalent national averages across multiple measures, including Early Years, phonics and Key Stage 2. 

The positive outcomes are reflected throughout the primary journey. From Early Years and phonics through to the Multiplication Tables Check and Key Stage 2, Oasis is seeing more children achieve strong outcomes, reflecting sustained investment in teaching, inclusion and school improvement. 

Key highlights 

• 64% achieved the expected standard in combined Reading, Writing and Maths, above the national average of 63%. 

• Writing improved from 70% to 73%, matching the national average. 

• Mathematics improved from 70% to 73%. 

• SEND outcomes in combined Reading, Writing and Maths improved from 27% to 33%. 

• Disadvantaged pupils achieved 57% in combined Reading, Writing and Maths, significantly above the latest national figure of 47%.
