Every year, as a national movement, we celebrate our Together Weekend—a time dedicated to coming together as an Oasis family to fundraise for our community work.
This year is our 40th anniversary, so, for the first time ever, we’ve decided to celebrate an entire ‘Together Week’! From 7–12 July, we will come together to support our local communities across the country. As such, Oasis Together Week promotes collaboration and teamwork in a variety of different ways.
Creativity
Together Week is beautiful because of its simplicity. We can do whatever we want to raise funds for Oasis—as long as we do it together. This makes Together Week a fantastic opportunity to showcase the diversity of our communities across the country. Each academy, community hub, and neighbourhood celebrates Together Week in their own way, reflecting the different communities that make up who we are.
Some communities may run carnivals, others might organise sponsored walks, and some may host bake-a-thons. Whatever it is, Together Week highlights the diversity and creativity of our communities and, in doing so, celebrates the collaboration that emerges from that diversity.
Multi-Stranded
At Oasis, we talk about being multi-stranded—like a strong rope made of many threads. That’s what Together Week represents. It’s a reminder that our strength lies in our relationships, our teamwork, and our shared mission.
Our symbol, the Circle of Inclusion, reflects this. It’s a visual reminder that we are stronger together—across roles, backgrounds, and communities. All united by our relationships with one another.
Together Week makes us multi-stranded. It brings us together, uniting us around a shared celebration.
Everyone Included
Together Week is about making sure everyone is included. It’s not about one specialised fundraising team—it’s about a national movement working together for change.
This year, we are running our NO ONE LEFT OUT campaign, raising funds to support those of us who are left out due to broken systems and high levels of poverty. NOLO is about promoting inclusion on every level—including making sure no one is left out organisationally either.
Together Week reminds us that we only thrive when we thrive together.
