Online Safety - Parental Resources

Online Safety is a huge part of our curriculum and day-to-day life here at Oasis. We want all of our young people to feel confident and safe with the digital world, understanding what is real, what’s not, where the dangers lie, and where they can thrive online. But it’s not just our students we want to support – it’s you too, our parents!

You may have seen in our parent and child-specific safeguarding resources, all available in our Safeguarding Section on the site, that we work hard to ensure that each of our families has a strong understanding of what it means to be safe online. Every child has access to, and is consistently taught about e-safety in our age-appropriate Oasis Online Safety Curriculum - covering all government requirements for 'Education in a Connected World'.

With the rapid transitions and developments that are made online, it can feel overwhelming at times; keeping up with changes and finding the right information for you can be confusing, particularly with a wealth of resources available. So we have created a section specifically for you filled with really helpful information on topics such as:

  • Talking to your child about online safety
  • Online relationships
  • Personal safety
  • Privacy and security
  • Online bullying
  • Online reputation
  • Self-image and identity

So if you’ve got questions on what your child could be looking at, or how to create a ‘family agreement’ within your household, or even how to support your child who may be comparing themselves to what they see online – we’ve got you covered.

Take a look at our ‘Online Safety – Parental Resources’ page today on your academy website’s Safeguarding area within Academy Life.
