We’re recruiting a cadre of new national secondary subject leaders to shape the future of curriculum and teaching across Oasis. These roles are for people who don’t just know what great teaching looks like in their subject - they know how to define it, develop it, and help others bring it to life.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the curriculum and professional culture of one of the largest and most values driven trusts in the country. You’ll lead nationally, while staying grounded in the daily reality of schools. You’ll set the standard for subject excellence - and help build the systems that support it.

At Oasis, we’ve never believed in small dreams. We work in communities that have often been underserved, with an undiluted belief in their potential. Our vision is to deliver exceptional education at the heart of the community - and we’re doing so in towns and cities across the country.

With a new organisational strategy launching next year, we’re entering a new phase of ambitious, focused work to transform outcomes in the secondary phase. These roles sit at the heart of that mission.

As a Trust Subject Lead, you’ll define what excellence looks like nationally in your subject in what we teach. You’ll also lead high-impact professional development across the trust: deepening subject expertise, developing leadership, and supporting teachers and subject leads to keep raising the bar.

Although this is a national role, you won’t be working from an ivory tower. You’ll be in classrooms, in conversations, and in communities. You’ll help identify what’s working - and support others to build on it. You’ll work closely with regional directors, school teams, and other national specialists to keep our subject thinking sharp and rooted in the real work of teaching.

You’ll be supported by strong regional teams, working within a renewed regional model, who lead on implementation so that our education is delivered locally with precision and a deep understanding of context.

We’re not looking for superheroes. We’re looking for leaders who know that lasting change is relational - people with the humility to listen and the drive to make a difference. If you’ve led a department, shaped curriculum, and now want to influence at national scale, this could be the role for you.

Above all, we’re looking for leaders who care about excellence and equity. The kind of person who thinks deeply about how a Year 7 pupil in Grimsby might fall in love with science or how a Year 11 student in Southampton can walk into their English exam full of confidence in what they know.

This won’t be easy. And it’s not for everyone. But if you’re excited to build something meaningful and something that will help shape the next five years of education across Oasis, then we’d really love to hear from you.
