Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Welcome back to a brand new year!
Welcome back to a brand new year!

Welcome back to a brand-new academic year! We really hope you all had a great summer break and are coming back (or joining us) excited and ready to learn.

Starting a new year is always a great opportunity to think about how things have gone and where you would like to go, what type of person you are and who you would like to become.

Certainly for us here at Oasis, this is something we talk about regularly as we learn about and implement the 9 Habits in our day-to-day lives, both in and out of the academy setting. But we also talk about what it means to deliver exceptional education in each of our academies, what it means to see our young people thrive and become passionate as new skills are learned every day, and how we can all work together to help everyone reach their personal goals.

Sometimes these goals can be extremely personal – particularly when it comes to shaping the type of person we want to become and the type of success we want to see. By being open to helping others, we could be helping someone reach their goal without even knowing it!

So this September, we want to ask you to think about what your goals are now. How did the last year go for you? What wins did you have? What would you do differently if you had to do it again? And what does this mean for you for 2021-2022?

Why not jot down some goals for yourself. Put them on a poster in your room, on your desk or safely tucked away in an envelope that you can look at throughout the year.

These might be based around the learning you want to achieve, or the opportunities you want to volunteer for at school, or maybe even the friendships or personal development you’d like to work on.

Do it for yourself.

Because when we are mindful about our own destinations, we are open to support, open to helping others and open to where opportunity can take us, together we can succeed today, and succeed tomorrow.

Welcome back to a brand new year!
