We are a healthy living school.
Oasis Academy Fir Vale
Age 4 to 10 years
I am delighted to welcome you to Oasis Academy Fir Vale.
At Oasis Academy Fir Vale we believe that children learn best when they have opportunities to talk, play, explore, work together, ask questions and practice their developing skills. We believe in a curriculum that gives children the chance to learn language and new skills through real life and practical experiences.
We believe partnerships with families and the community are really important to make sure children are safe, happy and that every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.
You will often see me at the gate before school starts. If you would like a quick word or just want to say hello, please don’t hesitate to do so.
Our progress data and parent recommendations show we are helping our pupils make good progress
We encourage our children to be the best versions of themselves.
We offer support through our community Hub
We are part of the North region of academies within the Oasis family. We offer opportunities for extended learning beyond the core Academy day. Our extended provision through our Hub team is at the centre of our community work. The team deliver a wide range of services which engage public, voluntary and business sectors in the establishment of a centre of education and lifelong learning. We aspire for the Academy to be at the heart of our local community, recognised by others for our clear understanding and support of local issues and awareness of community needs.
At Oasis we recognise that people are not two-dimensional beings; we are each a whole person with a broad range of aspirations and needs and these needs are interconnected. To truly help someone with their educational needs, it is vital to also be aware of their emotional needs, spiritual needs and economic needs.
As such, we believe in communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive. We call our model for these communities ‘Hub.’ Watch the video above to learn more about our vision for hub.
Oasis Academy Fir Vale is part of Oasis Hub: Fir Vale. As well as the academy, the Hub runs a number of services for the community. By ensuring that all these services are joined up and rooted in same ethos we want to see the entire community transformed for the better.
