A Message From the Principal

Welcome to Oasis Academy Putney’s updated website. We are delighted that you’ve shown an interest in our school and hope that you find the website useful.

We seek to nurture each member of our school community to develop his or her skills and abilities in a positive and ordered learning environment, so that children mature into responsible and caring citizens. It is our aim that each member of the school community recognises the value of every individual.

We aim to give the highest priority to academic excellence through a broad based, balanced, exciting and creative curriculum as well as a keen focus on outdoor learning, the arts and sports.  We have developed our curriculum with the intent that all children will learn a deep level of knowledge and a broad and well developed skillset.  Through this, we aim for children to acquire a lifelong passion for learning and discovery.

Our main aim as a school is to give each child an education of real worth; one which will equip him or her to take a place in society as a responsible, informed person who has high self-esteem and respect for others. We firmly believe that a child’s education must include the widest range of opportunities, be they artistic, sporting, cultural, recreational or social.

We invite you to come to our school, look around, sample the atmosphere and think about enrolling your child in our school where he/she can begin their education from the age of four.

The school opened in September 2016 and we established our Oasis 9 habits which are an invitation to a way of life characterised by being compassionate, patient, humble, joyful, honest,  hopeful, considerate, forgiving and self-controlled and are at the heart of all we do.  We believe that through embracing the Oasis 9 Habits, each of us can work to develop ourselves to be the best that we can be.

Our school has stimulating resources for teaching a creative curriculum and especially computing. Each class has access to laptops, iPads and interactive whiteboards. These are used effectively throughout the school to enhance teaching and learning.

Whatever your child’s special and/or educational needs, I can assure you that your child will be well looked after by our dedicated, committed and very skillful staff. We take pride in our relationships with parents, the mutual respect our children show each other and the care that we offer. Our most recent OFSTED report states that ‘pupils are polite, courteous and respectful.  They behave exceptionally well, and take pride in their work.’ We make time to get to know children and their families.

As Oasis Academy Putney continues to grow and develop we will strive to find new and exciting ways to ensure high quality provision for all our children. We are confident about our future. Come and visit us and see for yourself!

Our Region

Welcome to London and the South East (LSE). We are the largest region in Oasis with 14 academies, serving diverse and dynamic communities. Our academies provide education to 9,470 students in early years, primary, secondary and sixth form.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements. During 2022-23, the Oasis curriculum continued to make significant impacts on students learning. Academy improvements resulted in stronger outcomes across the region, at every phase. We are proud of our children at each phase, whether that be those joining reception or those finishing their GCSEs and A-Levels.

We are unquestionably stronger when we work together. Our regional development is underpinned by collective drive, ambition and high expectations for each and every one of our students.

In LSE we thrive on feedback and welcome new ideas and visitors to our academies. So do be in touch with Ella.Marett-Gregory@oasisuk.org if you would like to make contact.

Our Community

At Oasis we recognise that people are not two-dimensional beings; we are each a whole person with a broad range of aspirations and needs and these needs are interconnected.  To truly help someone with their educational needs, it is vital to also be aware of their emotional needs, spiritual needs and economic needs.

As such, we believe in communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive.  We call our model for these communities ‘hub.’  In the video below, at one of our North London hubs, Oasis' Founder Steve Chalke explains more about the Oasis vision of transformation and making of healthy communities.
