A Message From the Principal

A very warm welcome to Oasis Academy Wattville. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website, we are incredibly proud of our pupils and the wonderful people we see them blossom into throughout their time with us, and we hope that this website is a reflection of that and what we can offer your children.

Oasis Academy Wattville is a primary academy located in Handsworth, Birmingham. We are an all inclusive academy, accepting children aged 3-11. Our academy has an impressive history going back to 1895, when the original school first opened.

We are also very proud to be home to our World War memorial plaque, which names the soldiers that were lost from the immediate area.

Oasis Academy Wattville is a warm, happy and vibrant academy, where children come first. It is a place where pupils can thrive. A place where they can develop academic excellence, confidence, curiosity and compassion. We are part of a diverse and very special community and we believe that this partnership is key to success.

The breadth and variety of our curriculum enables our pupils to excel as individuals and be the best that they can be. We are an academy committed to nurturing, inspiring and guiding all pupils to reach their full potential. We want our pupils to develop a love of lifelong learning that will enable them to contribute effectively to the world in which we live.

I look forward to the next exciting part of our journey together.

Why Choose

Oasis Academy Wattville
Reflection Drives Growth

Through the habit of self-control and honesty, we encourage children to engage in meaningful reflection. By assessing their progress, setting aspirations, and striving for personal excellence, pupils develop a growth mindset that leads to continual improvement and fulfilment of potential.

Readiness is Fostered

Anchored in the habit of perseverance, we nurture in our pupils the skills, resilience, and confidence to embrace challenges with enthusiasm. By cultivating a mindset of preparedness and adaptability, we empower children to succeed in both their education and future endeavours.

Relationships are Nurtured

Guided by the habit of patience, we prioritise fostering meaningful, positive relationships among pupils, teachers, and families. These connections are the cornerstone of a collaborative and supportive learning community, promoting trust, understanding, and unity.

Respect is Valued

We create a culture rooted in humility and consideration, where every individual is treated with compassion and dignity. In this nurturing environment, every child feels safe, cherished, and empowered, building a community where mutual respect thrives.
