A Message From the Principal
Welcome to Oasis Academy Harpur Mount this website has been designed to give you an opportunity to find out more about the Academy.
Oasis Academy Harpur Mount is a community that respects all its members. We have the highest aspirations for all our children and this community. We know all our children are unique and we ensure we include them all.
At Oasis Academy Harpur Mount we want to help children to grow in confidence, to be unafraid to take risks or make mistakes and children who have hopes and aspirations for their future.
Our priority is to improve our children’s basic skills in English, Maths and ICT and to prepare them for their place in the world equipped with the necessary skills to be socially responsible adults ready to contribute to the community they chose to live in. We understand that, as parents and carers, nothing is more important to you than ensuring that your children have the best chance in life that’s why keeping your children safe and continually stimulated to learn, is our top priority. We all want to be proud of your children.
We look forward to working with you to help your children develop and grow into happy and confident learners and believe we can work together to ensure that this community and our children achieve the best now and in the future.
Your school is part of your community and Oasis Academy Harpur Mount is, and very much wants to be, part of your community. An outstanding school is one where everybody associated with it works together as an effective team with the aim of helping your children achieve their academic and social potential so that they can have better tomorrows and turn their ambitions and dreams into realities.

Our Community
We offer opportunities for extended learning beyond the core Academy day. Our extended provision through our Hub team is at the centre of our community work. The team deliver a wide range of services which engage public, voluntary and business sectors in the establishment of a centre of education and lifelong learning. We aspire for the Academy to be at the heart of our local community, recognised by others for our clear understanding and support of local issues and awareness of community needs.
At Oasis we recognise that people are not two-dimensional beings; we are each a whole person with a broad range of aspirations and needs and these needs are interconnected. To truly help someone with their educational needs, it is vital to also be aware of their emotional needs, spiritual needs and economic needs.
As such, we believe in communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive. We call our model for these communities ‘Hub.’
Oasis Academy Harpur Mount is part of Oasis Community Hub: Harpur Mount. As well as the Academy, the Hub runs a number of services for the community. By ensuring that all these services are joined up and rooted in same ethos we want to see the entire community given the opportunity to transform.
