A Message From the Principal

Welcome to Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill.  As an increasingly popular Academy, these are very exciting times for us.  We work in partnership with our students, their families and our wider community, to fulfill our vision of ‘Excellence for all’.

Lord’s Hill is an Academy focused on providing the highest educational standards for young people.  Students are welcomed to school by teachers who deliver engaging and thought provoking lessons. We provide an ambitious and enriching curriculum.  This will always include a steadfast commitment to the arts and sport, alongside the development of academic subjects that we know are the building blocks for future success.

We enable our students to explore their own personal pathway, developing their character, knowledge and skills as they progress towards adulthood and their future career of choice.

At Lord’s Hill, we care.  Our committed staff are passionate about the progress of every young person, giving them the opportunities they deserve to succeed.  We include everyone, and have a desire to treat everyone equally, respecting any differences.

Our ambition and commitment extends beyond the Academy gates into the community we serve, and we are proud of the strong relationships we have established with everyone associated with us.

Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill is an inspiring and engaging place where our students learn and grow, within our wonderful community that we are privileged to be a part of.

We are part of the South Coast region of academies within the Oasis family. Based in Southampton we are OCL's newest region consisting of 3 secondary academies lead by our Regional Director Phil Humphreys. Phil is an expert educationalist with almost twenty years of experience in education, having led in an OFSTED rated ‘Outstanding’ school in Birmingham where he was the Deputy Headteacher at a time when the school won the TES leadership team of the year.

Within our region we have:

  • Oasis Academy Lord's Hill
  • Oasis Academy Sholing
  • Oasis Academy Mayfield

Our Community

We offer opportunities for extended learning beyond the core Academy day. Our extended provision through our Hub team is at the centre of our community work. The team deliver a wide range of services which engage public, voluntary and business sectors in the establishment of a centre of education and lifelong learning. We aspire for the Academy to be at the heart of our local community, recognised by others for our clear understanding and support of local issues and awareness of community needs.

At Oasis we recognise that people are not two-dimensional beings; we are each a whole person with a broad range of aspirations and needs and these needs are interconnected. To truly help someone with their educational needs, it is vital to also be aware of their emotional needs, spiritual needs and economic needs.

As such, we believe in communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive. We call our model for these communities ‘Hub.’

Oasis Academy Lord's Hill is part of Oasis Community Hub: Lord's Hill. As well as the Academy, the Hub runs a number of services for the community. By ensuring that all these services are joined up and rooted in same ethos we want to see the entire community transformed for the better.
