Oasis Academy South Bristol

Oasis Academy South Bristol* is excited to serve the community of Knowle within South Bristol. The proposed site for the academy is on part of the former site of The Merrywood School in Knowle West. Oasis Academy South Bristol will be a co-educational secondary, providing 900 school places for 11 – 16-year-olds. The academy will follow the Oasis Community Learning ethos of inclusion, hope, perseverance, healthy relationships and compassion. It will be open to those of all faiths and none.

The academy is in the pre-planning phase of development. Oasis Community Learning is working closely with national and local partners, the Department for Education and Bristol City Council, to design and build an academy that will best serve the students and the local community.

Oasis Community Learning will work with the Knowle West Alliance to help deliver information on key aspects of the school and to gather feedback, ensuring we build an academy that the local community wants and deserves. The academy’s overarching vision is to provide ‘Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community.’ We want to ensure that all of our young people, whatever their starting point or background, get the education they deserve – and they deserve nothing less than exceptional.

Underpinning Oasis Academy South Bristol’s vision is the Oasis Education Charter that outlines who we are, how we are distinctive, and what the entitlement that we provide for our children and their community is. To find out more about the Education Charter click here.
